Terms and Conditions of Service

Last formally updated: 10 March 2026

1. Formal Acceptance of Service

Accessing and utilising the PDFLab.co.uk platform and its associated cloud services implies your full, legally binding acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Should you disagree with any of the clauses stipulated herein, you are strictly prohibited from using the service.

2. Software Licence and Usage Thresholds

PDFLab grants the user a highly specific, limited, and non-exclusive licence to process their documents through our web interface. Free-tier usage is strictly governed by the daily operational limits automatically enforced by our system:

  • Standard Utility Tools: strictly limited to 15 operations per rolling 24-hour period.
  • Format Conversions: strictly limited to 5 operations per rolling 24-hour period.
  • Advanced Neural Tools (OCR): strictly limited to 2 operations per rolling 24-hour period.

It is considered a severe breach of contract to attempt to artificially bypass these computational limits via the use of malicious scripts, automated bots, server scrapers, or multiple proxy connections.

3. Strict Liability Regarding Content

The end-user bears sole and absolute legal responsibility for the content, nature, and legality of the files uploaded to our servers. By explicitly choosing to use PDFLab, you formally declare and warrant that you:

  • Are the legitimate, lawful owner or expressly possess the required legal permissions to alter and process the uploaded files.
  • Will not upload material that blatantly infringes upon the copyright, registered trademarks, or any other intellectual property rights of third parties.
  • Will not upload grossly illegal, defamatory, highly offensive, or maliciously harmful material (including malware embedded within PDFs).

4. Platform Intellectual Property

All proprietary content present on the website (including but not limited to the copywriting, branding logos, user interface graphics, raw source code, and underlying processing algorithms) is the exclusive, unquestionable property of Giovanni Didonna and is shielded by robust Italian and international copyright legislation. The systematic extraction, reverse engineering, or unauthorised commercial use of PDFLab's technology will be aggressively prosecuted in the appropriate legal venues.

5. Premium Subscriptions and Refund Policy

PRO enterprise subscriptions are activated instantly upon successful payment clearance via our payment gateway, Stripe.

  • Statutory Right of Withdrawal: Given that this service constitutes the immediate and full supply of digital software content via a non-material medium, the user explicitly acknowledges that the execution of the contract commences instantly. Consequently, the statutory right of withdrawal is completely forfeited the exact moment file processing is initiated.
  • Subscription Cancellation: You maintain the right to cancel your rolling recurring plans at any given moment directly via your User Dashboard. Your premium access will remain fully active and unimpeded until the natural expiry of the period you have already paid for.

6. Absolute Limitation of Liability

PDFLab provides its entire suite of tools strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any explicit or implicit warranties of any kind. Under no legal circumstances shall we be held liable for any direct or indirect damages, severe data loss, financial deficits, or business service interruptions arising from the use of our tools or from unforeseen technical server malfunctions outside our immediate infrastructure control.

7. Governing Law and Exclusive Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are fundamentally governed by and construed in accordance with Italian law. For any legal dispute whatsoever arising from the execution or interpretation of this contract, the exclusive jurisdiction firmly lies with the **Court of Potenza**, strictly subject to the mandatory consumer protection forum wherever legally applicable.
